If you’re looking for a great way to meet new people, get connected, and enjoy great fellowship, fun, and food, we invite you to join the Supper Clubs. If you are new to MPC, or if you’ve been around here for years, this is a great place to start. Supper Clubs are monthly gatherings where people, married and single, gather for the opportunity to fellowship and get connected with each other.
All members interested in Supper Club are randomly divided into 5-6 small groups, updated every new year. Most small groups meet monthly for a covered-dish dinner, a cookout, or simply appetizers, and some groups chose to meet at a local restaurant. Most Supper Clubs that choose to eat in homes rotate the meeting place among the homes of the club’s members.
You can join the Supper Club at any time. We hope you call the church office to join the Supper Club. New friends are waiting to meet you!
Our monthly Men’s Breakfast meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 8:00 AM. We gather for food, fellowship, gospel singing, biblical encouragement, and prayer.
This is a group of single ladies who meet after the 11 o'clock worship service one Sunday a month, usually the 4th Sunday, for a dutch treat lunch and fellowship at a local restaurant. Carpooling is available from the church.
A group of very energetic, mature, fun-loving and enthusiastic women who are young at heart. We are actively involved in the life of the church and we meet on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month at 1 p.m. in the Church Parlor for Bible study.
The members, of all ages and walks of life, are instrumental in organizing and establishing our Women’s Rally Day and the Women’s Tea. They support charities such as Noah’s Ark, Haven House, and A Friend's House by hosting and organizing fundraisers. Friendship Circle meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm, typically at a member’s house. In addition to “old and new business”, the Circle also has devotional time, time for sharing prayer requests (joys, praises, and concerns) as well as fun and fellowship with friends.
The Early Risers meet the last Thursday of each month at 8:00 am in the Chapel area of the church. There is a small breakfast, a short business meeting, and a devotion, typically wrapping up by 9:15 am. The majority of the ladies in this circle are retired. They enjoy sharing their love of grown children, grandchildren, books, travel, cooking, and, of course, their church family. There is a lot of laughter at these meetings and a few tears. They are famous for the napkins that they send out each month to shut-ins and those who have been ill or in need. This circle chooses several projects each year to be involved with, such as Haven House and a Friend’s House.
The Saving Grace members are mature, fun-loving and enthusiastic ladies who seek mutual support and spiritual enrichment. The primary outreach in the community is supporting Relay for Life for cancer research. For several months of the year, the ladies enjoy creating homemade arts and crafts to raise funds for Relay. Saving Grace meets in the late afternoon of the second Thursday of each month in a member’s home or local restaurants.
The Go-Gos is a group of people age 55 and older who like to have a good time. Past outings include restaurants, sports arenas, and historical locations. On any given trip, we typically have 30 people in attendance and the group will normally include couples and singles, church members and non-members, friends and relatives.
