We strive to live out our mission of “Serving Others Beyond Sunday Mornings” through our local and global ministries, fellowship and support groups, faith formation opportunities, and worship. Our mission reminds us that discipleship in Jesus Christ is a daily practice that we carry out into the world with us everywhere we go.
McDonough Presbyterian Church has been dedicated to loving God and loving our neighbor since our founding nearly 200 years ago. We believe in the sovereignty of God and the importance of grace in our lives. We honor that our salvation has been given to us through Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. We are led by God’s Holy Spirit as we learn and grow together as a family of faith.
Our church is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA), the largest Presbyterian denomination in the United States and a part of the Reformed tradition. We govern ourselves representatively, which means that disciples in our congregation can be elected to serve in leadership positions as elders, who help make decisions in the church, or deacons, who serve the congregation and the community with compassion and dedication.
